Work
Building Flowstate. Most of my time goes on AI spend attribution: tying every request a team makes back to a person and a project, then forecasting where that spend is heading. The rest is customers and hiring. We're looking for two engineers in London.
Reading
The Power of Pull by Rob Snyder, on my co-founder Oliver's recommendation. Read it alongside Gap Selling by Keenan. Both drag you off the question founders love, which is what's clever about the product, and onto the only one that pays: what is the biggest pain your customer needs relieved. I have been guilty of the first one more than once.
Living
Based in London. Still Australian, still complaining about the weather, except the complaint has flipped. It has been brutally hot, and a country built entirely for drizzle has no air conditioning in it. Anywhere. An Australian has no business struggling with this, and yet.
Drinking
It's summer, so the Malbec and Pinot Noir are retired until it gets miserable again. Back on rosé. AIX is still the house pour. I've also discovered, to some embarrassment, that Kylie Minogue's Côtes de Provence rosé is genuinely good, which stops being funny the moment you find out it's made at Château Sainte-Roseline. Minuty is in contention too, though LVMH took a majority stake in 2023, so I may just be drinking a spreadsheet. Undecided, and in no hurry to decide.
Writing
Mostly just this blog. Flowstate is consuming most of my creative energy, so posts come when they come.
